Iranian Resistance condemns repression of refugees in Australian camp

The Iranian Resistance July 21st strongly condemned the violent crackdown on asylum seekers in Nauru camp, where many of them have fled the hellish life of torture and execution in Iran, and called on the Australian government to respect the sacred right of asylum and the recognition of their rights and enforcement of refugee and human rights standards.
On Friday night of July 20, 2013, hundreds of asylum seekers in Nauru نرو  Island refugee camp who protested against slow process of refugee determination and hardening of asylum laws, were attacked by police. A number of protesters were injured by the "cleaver and steel pipes" blows of some of the islanders who had come to help the police. At least four of the injured were hospitalized and nearly 130 asylum-seekers have been detained.
The Australian Government announced this week that from now on it would not accept any refugees, and asylum-seekers who reach Australian soil, would be moved to New Guinea and other Pacific islands. At the request of the Australian government, the Indonesian government has made obtaining visas harder for Iranians who are entering Indonesia. The Australian government has allegedly tasked the Immigration Department to evaluate the application of asylum-seekers according to the information of the Foreign Affairs Department. According to the Foreign Affairs Department , Iran is considered a safe country. This would lead to the rejection of asylum-seekers from Iran and their extradition to the Iranian regime.
The National Council of Resistance of Iran said in its statement that considering Iran a safe country under the rule of the mullahs is tantamount to plundering human rights against the narrow interests of business and the economy. This is a regime that has the highest number of executions per capita, has hanged near 100 prisoners during the three weeks following sham elections, it is where the women and children aren’t safe either against cruel punishments and 20-year old youths are hanged in public for a theft of less than 35 Euros. Closing eyes on this dire situation, is a by product of disgraceful policy of appeasement that sacrifices universal moral and human values for commercial interests.
The Iranian Resistance called on the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and other relevant organizations not to allow the asylum rights of Iranians, whom the clerical regime has forced them to leave their homes, to be trampled upon foe narrow economic interests.
In another news the Iranian Resistance called on all international authorities and human rights bodies, particularly High Commissioner for Human Rights and relevant rapporteurs, to take urgent action saving the lives of four youths from Shadgan city in Khuzestan province and some other inmates in Gohardasht prison who have been transferred to Ghezelhessar prison for execution.
The secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, July 19, said that on July13, the regime’s judiciary confirmed the execution order for four youths  from Arab minority in Karoon prison. The prisoners are:  Abdulreza Amir- Khanafareh, 24; Ghazi Abbasi, 31; Abdulamir Mojaddami
, 33; and Shahab Abbasi, 27; for the fabricated charge of “Moharebeh (waging war on God) and Corrupt on Earth”. They have long been under torture for forcible confession. Yuness Amir- Khanafareh, father of Abdulraza Amir- Khanafereh , a retired teacher, was also tortured in front of his son for months. After being released, he passed away as a result of tortures and harsh sufferings due to the arrest and torture of his son.
Meanwhile, some prisoners condemned to execution in Gohardasht prison have been transferred to Ghezelhessar prison. On Tuesday July 2nd, 21 prisoners, deprived form a minimum fair judicial procedure,  were collectively hanged in this prison.
