Iranian regime should not be allowed to play with time in nuclear talks
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi , the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance in a
statement on July 19th described the Vienna negotiations that did bear no result, as the
failure of the appeasement policy and leniency towards this regime.
Mrs. Rajavi reiterated: The religious dictatorship, has been forced to retreat
one step due to domestic isolation, the international rejection, and sanctions.
She added:
In light of the regional situation, Khamenei wants to maintain the nuclear
structure and capability to acquire the bomb. The international community must
pursue the full implementation of the UN Security Council’s resolutions by the
clerical regime. Extending the negotiations will result in nothing but
providing time to the mullahs for further deception. The mullahs should
absolutely not be allowed to play with time. In addition, the nuclear
negotiations should be coupled with holding the religious fascism ruling Iran accountable for flagrant human rights violations in
Iran and genocide in Syria and Iraq. Attempt to obtain nuclear weapon, violations of
human rights, and exporting terrorism and fundamentalism, are three indispensable aspects of the Velayat-e faqih (absolute rule of the clergy).
Iraqi agents hamper transfer of Camp Liberty patients to hospital
According to National Council of Resistance of Iran July 18, in recent weeks, the Iraqi forces under the command of the Iraqi Prime Ministry have prevented transfer of many Camp Liberty patients to a hospital in Baghdad upon various pretexts. Many of these Iranian residents of Camp Liberty are in critical conditions or are cancer patients that need immediate medical attention or surgeries. It's been six years now that Government of Iraq has imposed a medical blockade on Iranians refugees at Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty, resulting in loss of life of 20 patients. This medical blockade is a physical torture of the patients as well as a psychological torture of all camp residents and its perpetrators must be tried and punished. In another statemetn the Iranian resistance on July 18 said that the Iraqi forces continue to impose restrictions, carry out repressive and provocative measures, and pave the way for a raid and massacre against the residents.
In a most worrisome act on Thursday, July 17, Iraqi suppressive forces known as SWAT who were wearing masks went on top of the bunkers outside the camp and began reconnaissance of various sections of the camp from behind the T-walls.
Meanwhile, in the past week, contrary to the last two and a half years, the Iraqi forces impede entry of sewage tankers that are rented by the residents and keep them waiting for hours in the astringent heat for hours. In another inimical measure, it is a month now that the prime ministry agents are refraining from implementing previous agreements to give forklift trucks to the residents on a daily basis. This compels the residents to move heavy loads in the hot weather with bare hands. It's worth mentioning that the Camp Liberty resident fast during the month of Ramadan.
