Mozaffar Khazaee a dual US Iranian citizen who pleaded guilty to trying to export sensitive information about US military jets to Iranian regime was sentenced on Friday to 97 months and $50. Mozaffar Khazaee, who had worked as an engineer at US defense contractor Pratt & Whitney, was arrested in January 2014 as he tried to leave the country with sensitive material about the engines for the US Air Force F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and F-22 Raptor aircraft in his luggage.
Khazaee also had exchanged e-mails containing information about the programs with Iranian contacts.
Russian airstrikes in the northwestern province of Idlib killed a 28-year-old freelance journalist AFP reported Friday October 24th, 2015.
Syrian journalist Vesim el Adil, who had made several contributions to Anadolu Agency, was killed Friday in Russian airstrikes in Syria’s northwestern province of Idlib, local sources said.
According to local sources, 28-year-old Adil was struck by pieces of shrapnel during a Russian airstrike in Idlib’s town of Binin.
Russia began carrying out airstrikes in Syria in late September while Iranian regime has provided ground troops to back Assad’s regime.
At least 250,000 people have been killed since the conflict began in 2011, with 7.6 million internally displaced and more than four million having fled abroad.
American -Syrian Medical organization said on Thursday that 9 air strike by Russian fighters had bombed hospitals and field clinics in Syria where civilians and medical staff were killed. This organization added that Russia has launched 313 attacks since Russian air strike in Syria.
11 Iranians from the Revolutionary Guards forces, have been killed in Syria in recent days. State website Mashregh reported the names and pictures of 17 Iranian Revolutionary Guards Forces being killed in Syria in the last 11 days. One of the killed was Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's bodyguard, Iranian regime's previous president.
