After Paris and Warsaw, the Iranian supporters of the Iranian resistance rallied in Munich-Germany on Sunday Feb. 17, outside the Munich Security Conference, protesting the presence of Iranian regime’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. They condemned Tehran’s terrorist measures in Europe and the United States and called for the blacklisting of the Iranian regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) and also for the MOIS Quds force operative to be expelled from Europe and the US.

On Saturday, February 16, the state-run media IRNA officially announced the clashes between a crowd of people with morality police which took place on Friday, February 15, following the attempt to arrest the two young girls in Narmak, Tehran-Iran.
According to witnesses, the morality police agents confronted the girls for ‘mal-veiling’ and tried to arrest them. However, a group of people intervened to protect the girls and managed to save them from the morality.
In fear of the spread of a public gathering, the morality police fired bullets into the air in order to disperse the crowd. Heavy clashes followed the shots and the crowd broke the door of the vehicle belonging to the morality police, saving the two young girls. The morality police were forced to retreat and leave the scene.

Sahar Kazemi, a Kurdish civil activist, was sentenced to five years in prison by the Sanandaj Court in Iran. It’s said that Sahar was sentenced because of her activities in the field of civil and environmental issues. Simultaneous with the five years of imprisonment sentence for Sahar, her husband, Madeh Fat’hi, was released after three months in prison with a bail bond of 100 million tomans. 13 environmental activists have been held in detention for months. Houman Jowkar, general manager of the Asiatic Cheetah Conservation Project in Iran; Taher Ghadirian, young scientist and Human Resource Coordinator at UNESCO; Sam Rajabi, environmental expert; Amirhossein Khaleghi and Niloufar Bayani, wildlife experts; Sepideh Kashani, Houman Jowkar’s wife and former activities adviser to the United Nations Environment Programme; and Morad Tahbaz all work with the Persian Wildlife Heritage Foundation.

Iranian teachers and educators held their 4th nationwide protests this year, on Thursday, February 14. There protests were held in cities such as Mashhad, Kermanshah, Urmia, Ardabil, Khorramabad, Sanandaj and Marivan to name a few. Working and retired female teachers actively participated in this fourth round of nationwide protests, as they previously did. Iranian teachers and educators demanded payment of their salaries, freedom of imprisoned teachers and free education for all children, among others. Iranian teachers and educators have held at least 280 protests over the past year which is at least three times greater than the 88 protests held throughout the previous year.
