Iran, July 25, 2021—Protests over severe water shortages continued in Khuzestan and other parts of Iran for the tenth day on Saturday as the regime is scrambling to maintain its hold on the increasingly explosive state of the society. The regime has imposed a mass internet blackout on Khuzestan to prevent reports of the protests from reaching the world. The few reports and footage obtained from the province indicate intense protests continue across the province despite brutal repression. In Mahshahr, security forces were directly firing at protesters to disperse them. According to Mojahedin Khalgh aka PMOI/MEK 12 people have been killed by the regime's forces during Khuzestan Uprising. They were all under 30 years of age. https://tinyurl.com/48mad7f7

Iranian resistance official website(ncr-iran.org) reported on July 22 that despite promises in Tehran and crackdown on the ground, the Uprising in Khuzestan Goes On. As the unrest in the oil-rich southern province is marking its eighth night(On Thursday), almost all the regime’s officials in the highest echelons have expressed concerns and tried to appease the population into calmness and obedience. The people of Khuzestan province have been protesting the lack of water during the hot summer months. As the protests began against water shortage, it quickly accelerated into an anti regime uprising. On the ground, the regime has mobilized and dispatched security forces to prevent more protests. But as the regime fails to fulfill its promises and truly care for the people, this movement is becoming unstoppable. Despite the regime trying to restrict and shut down the internet in Khuzestan, the few reports and footage that have been leaked out of the country expose a highly mobilized campaign to suppress every protest from the very spark. Protests continues in Ahvaz, Masjid Soleyman, Susangerd, Bander Ganaveh, Mahshahr, Behbahan, Mollasani, Darkhovein, Khowr-e Musa, Shush, Dezful, Shushtar, Izeh, Shadegan and Elhayi to name a few. People in other cities and provinces are beginign to support the rise of Khuzestan.
