Radio Irava turned 18

On Jan. 16, 1995 Radio Irava(voice of Iran) began broadcasting as Ottawa-Gatineau's first Farsi(Persian)radio program on CHUO. Irava offers cultural, political and social informative interviews as well as news. Irava launched its English segment in the winter of 2005 to better serve its non-Iranian listeners. As an independent media, Irava reflects the news about the social and political situation in Iran from reliable and reputable sources.
