Iran Nuclear Talks: Difference remain far apart, diplomats say
Western
diplomats and officials of the Iranian regime said on Friday that the talks in
the recent round of negotiations between the world powers and Iranian regime
held in New York made little progress in overcoming significant
disagreements.
A Western diplomat told reporters on condition of anonymity: 'On the core issues we remain pretty far apart'. 'On enrichment, we are not there yet. On sanctions, we are not there yet,' he added.
A senior Iranian official of the Iranian regime had a similarly sober assessment of the talks, the report said.
'Despite hours of talks and meetings, there has not been progress to overcome major differences, not even one inch,' the official said.
Meanwhile, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told journalists on Friday on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York: “At this time as I speak, there is no significant progress” in talks which opened last Friday.
“We will be quickly meeting again. We regret that there has been no progress,” said Fabius.

Hundreds protest Iranian regime president outside UN complex
According to Associated Press, Sept. 26, hundreds of people gathered Thursday Sept 25th in a plaza outside the United Nations to protest what they said was Iran's continued support of terrorism, its poor record on human rights and its deceptive tactics in nuclear negotiations as the country's president delivered remarks to world leaders. Former U.S. Sen. Tom Daschle told those gathered amid tight security that tens of thousands of people have been jailed under Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, and former U.S. Ambassador John Bolton said the Iranian government should be overthrown.'That should be the stated policy of the United States,' said Bolton, who was the top U.S. diplomat to the United Nations from 2005-2006 under President George W. Bush.
Hasan Alsawaf, a Rhode Island dentist who emigrated from Syria two decades ago, said at the protest that the Iranian regime was responsible for much of the chaos in the Middle East.' The cycle of horror and terror that started with the Iranian regime to the Syrian regime and ISIS needs to be dismantled,' Alsawaf said, using an alternate name for the Islamic State group.
Former U.S. diplomat Bill Richardson and Robert F. Kennedy's daughter Kerry Kennedy also attended. Wearing yellow ponchos, the protesters chanted, a drum line performed and Iranian pop music played. Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi was scheduled to deliver a speech via satellite, but bad weather disrupted the link-up. Instead, a speaker read her prepared remarks to the crowd.
People chanted the National Council of Resistance head's name several times throughout the protest. Some held cut-out letters spelling her name.

An Iraqi female
lawyer and women’s rights activist has been executed by ISIS, the head of the United Nations human

The killing follows the execution of a number of Iraqi women in areas under the group’s control documented by United Nations monitors.
Two candidates contesting Iraq’s general election in Nineveh Province, were killed in July. A third female candidate was abducted by gunmen in eastern Mosul and has not been heard from since.
The latest victim Salih Ali al-Nuaimy, was seized from her home by ISIS last week and tortured for several days before a masked firing squad executed her in public on Monday, Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein, the United Nations human rights commissioner, said in a statement.
Ms. Nuaimy had posted comments on her Facebook page condemning the “barbaric” bombing and destroying of mosques and shrines in Mosul, a northern Iraqi city, by the ISIS or ISIL.
