Daya Sharifa, 70 years old, the justice seeking mother of Ramin Hossein Panahi, was arrested by security forces in Kamyaran, a city south of Sanandaj, the capital of the Iranian Kurdistan Province. She is a fervent opponent of the death penalty in Iran and is renowned for being among the mothers seeking justice in the wake of their sons’ executions. Ramin Hossein Panahi, 23, was arrested in June 2017. He was viciously tortured in the detention centers of the IRGC Intelligence and the Ministry of Intelligence. He was executed after a grossly unfair trial on September 8, 2018, along with Zanyar and Loqman Moradi, while on hunger strike. According to recent reports, Ms. Nasrin Sadat Shahrayeeni 31 years old has been sentenced to one year and 91 days of imprisonment. She is denied access to medical treatment despite having nervous seizures, heart palpitation, short breath, and pain in the chest. On the final day of January, the Iranian regime executed a woman in the Prison of Sabzevar, in northeastern Iran. Zahra Nazarian 27, was hanged at dawn on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.  She's the first woman in the year 2024 that was hanged. Tina Delju who has a PhD in political science and lectured at Azad University, on Monday morning January 29, was transferred to the Central Prison of Rasht (Lakan Prison) to serve her one-year sentence. In December, the 3rd branch of the Revolutionary Court of Rasht sentenced Tina Delju to one year in prison for disseminating “propaganda against the state.”


There is also concern about the wellbeing of Ayat Abyat who was abducted on January 1, and taken to an undisclosed location. An Arab citizen from Hamidiyeh, in the southwestern Khuzestan province, Ayat is 19 years old. Her brother, Mohammad Amin, is serving 15 years in prison for his political activities.
