According to State-run news agency IRNA, the commander of SSF (State Security Forces) Moral Security Police said, the SSF forces may enter private beaches along the Caspian Sea and other Iranian beaches for inspection. Gholam-haydar Heydari on Tuesday night June 20th told the staff in charge of planning for the Mazandaran Sea in Sari, “Private beaches that host the public and travelers are not considered private and the SSF forces face no legal restrictions entering them, just as they do in other places.” Heydari added, “The SSF will demand beach managers this summer to observe the new directive according to the law.”

During the first quarter of the Iranian calendar year 1396 (from March 21 – June 21, 2017), 13 Kurdish women and girls have committed suicide and died.
There have been eight cases of suicide by hanging, four self-immolation and one drowning. These women were from Marivan, Mahabad, Divandareh, Saqqez, Orumieya and Takab.

State run ILNA reported on June 20th that Assal Ismaielzadeh, a photojournalist, was arrested on June 19, at Tehran’s Prosecutor’s Office while accompanying her husband Saeed Seif Journalist and meida activist and director of Dideban Iran website.
Seif told the press, “Despite the fact that I was the one charged in a case, when my wife and I went to the prosecutor’s office, the judge ordered the arrest of my wife, Assal Ismaielzadeh.” “I still don’t know why my wife was arrested,” he added.

According to state-run IRNA news agency Mostafa Haghi, Gorgan's public and Revolutionary prosecutor said on June 20th: "It is essential to take legal action against and confront improperly veiled women who break the social norms and the Prosecutor’s Office will do so with strength and might".
“Some female drivers and passengers think that inside their cars is like their home and is considered private and they take off their scarves, but according to the law this is a transgression and they will be dealt with without any mercy”, The cars where women drop their scarves will be identified and impounded in coordination with the State Security Force,” Gorgan’s prosecutor said.

A young woman in Semnan- Iran was victim of an acid attack. The cause and motif of this action have not been clarified, yet. According to state-run ILNA news agnecy June 20th the suspect is a 27- year-old man, and related to the woman.

The longest-serving Iranian-Kurdish woman imprisoned in Orumiyeh Prison is on the verge of execution after 17 years of imprisonment. Mohebat Mahmoudi who was imprisoned for defending herself against rape, is now facing death by execution because her family can not afford to pay 1 billion toumans (over $308,000) as blood money to the victim’s brother.

Three Baha'i women were put on trial on Saturday morning, June 17, in the 3rd Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad in Iran. Dori Amri, May Kholosi and Saghi Fadaie are charged with spreading propaganda against the government by preaching Baha’ism and being members of a Baha’i organization.

According to State-run ILNA news agency June 16, 169,000 children are deprived of education in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan in Iran. Alireza Nakhaii, general director of the Education Department in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan, announced on Friday, June 16, that 169,000 children had been identified in the province who “need to receive education.” According to the reports of the Research Center of Parliament (Majlis), 3,200,000 children are deprived of education in Iran. Girls make up the lion’s share of those deprived of education.
In addition to Sistan and Baluchistan, there are at least 100,000 children in Khuzistan Province (southwestern Iran) and 15,000 children in Hormuzgan Province (southern Iran) who are deprived of access to education.
