This year’s International Women’s Day called the day of resistance by the women of Ukraine. An international conference in Berlin sponsored by the NCRI Women’s Committee featured the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, as well as more than 170 political figures from 37 countries, celebrating International Women’s Day. The conference in Berlin was connected online to Ashraf 3 in Albania and to hundreds of other locations around the world. Political prisoner Fariba Assadi went on a hunger strike in protest of being beaten by one of the prisoners accused of ordinary crimes and the violation of the principle of separation of crimes in Qarchak Prison in Iran. Intelligence agents arrested Fariba Assadi in February 2021 along with three others.
