On Sunday the 108 day of Revolution in Iran, the demonstrations, strikes... are continued. Uprising has been in 282 cities with 750 martyrs and 30,000 arrests. 601  martyrs has been identified by the PMOI/MEK People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran.

The Judiciary of the Iranian regime and its security institutions continue to file cases and issue prison sentences and inhumane punishments for the protestors of the Iran uprising. The Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced Sepideh Salarvand, an anthropologist, writer, and child rights activist, to two years of imprisonment, two years of ban on leaving the country, a ban on membership in social and political groups, and preparation of 80-page research on issues of love for the homeland and condemnation of treason. Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, headed by Judge Iman Afshari, issued the ruling and delivered it to Sepideh Salarvand. She has been sentenced to two years in prison on the charge of “assembly and collusion to commit a crime against national security.” Other cases are additional punishments. http://surl.li/egfrg

Iran’s ruling clerical regime continues to issue sentences of imprisonment and flogging for the detained protestors during unfair trials. Mahsa Pairavi, one of the detainees of the nationwide protests in Tehran, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on the charge of “encouraging corruption and prostitution.” Mahsa Pairavi was arrested on October 17, 2022, in Tehran’s Mirdamad Blvd. because she had removed her headscarf and twirled it in the air. Kurdish political prisoner Zeinab Jalalian with a life sentence, has been incarcerated for 15 years. Zeinab Jalalian’s eye conditions have further deteriorated, and she is at risk of losing her eyesight. Zeinab Jalalian also suffers from various illnesses. Prison authorities have deprived her of access to medical services, which is considered torture. Kurdish sources have reported that during the recent uprising, Zeinab Jalalian was shackled and moved from the women’s ward of the Prison of Yazd to the detention center of the intelligence services. But Zeinab refused to cooperate with them. They have told Zeinab Jalalian that if she collaborates with the Intelligence Ministry, she will be released from prison. But she has continued to resist and remain firm.  

Political prisoner Fatemeh Mosanna suffers from various illnesses, including intestinal colitis, GI problems, and heavy nervous migraines. In July, she also contracted the Covid, adding to her difficulties in enduring her dire health conditions. Presently, she suffers from intestinal bleeding. Mrs. Mosanna is also deprived of visiting with her husband, Hassan Sadeqi, who is incarcerated in Gohardasht Prison. 

Political prisoner Sofia Sufi has been sentenced to five years in prison on the charge of “propaganda against the state, acting against national security, insulting Khomeini and Khamenei,” by the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad. She has torn leg meniscus, lumbar disc, intestinal syndrome, and nervous colitis. Although her family has bought and provided her medications, the prison authorities have refused to hand her the medicines. Mrs. Sofia Sufi contracted the coronavirus, which caused a lung infection. Due to the lack of medical care, she is suffering from the effects of this disease. 

The Penal Court No. 1 of Mahabad sentenced Golaleh Moradi, 48, to 10 years and one day in prison for “complicity in the murder” of an IRGC commander. The sentence was commuted to four years after the victim’s parents gave consent, according to paragraph A of Article 37 and paragraph A of Article 38 of the Islamic Punishment law. The four years consider the time she has already served in prison. 

Golaleh Moradi was released on bail last spring. During her one year in the Central Prison of Urmia, she was deprived of access to a lawyer and not granted any leave. Golaleh Moradi was forced to accept the forced confessions of her son against her and the reports filed against her.
