Iran’s nationwide uprising on its 115th day on Sunday Jan.8 as the regime’s crackdown machine, including the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), the paramilitary Basij units, State Security Forces (police), and plainclothes agents, backed by units from the Intelligence Ministry, have been arresting dozens of people in different cities, including Javanrud, Semirom, and Zahedan. On the anniversary of killing Ghasem Soleimani, the Iranian people used Kotlet(a persian food that is made by potatoes, onions, eggs and ground beef) and in many Irainan cities set fire to banners and statues of the child killer Soleimani.

Nazila Maroofian, 23 and a journalist, suffered an infarct before standing trial on January 4, 2023. This young journalist has been under much mental pressure and psychological torture in prison and interrogation. Since her arrest, she has been confined in solitary confinement or cells with a small number of prisoners. On the day of the trial, she fainted and had an infraction. Nazila Maroofian was transferred to Mofatteh Hospital in Shahr-e Rey, but she was returned to Qarchak Prison without completing the tests. Yalda Moayeri, a photographer for 23 years, was arrested by the security forces during protests in Tehran on September 22, 2022. After some time, she was transferred to Qarchak prison in Varamin. The 26th branch of the Tehran Revolutionary Court convened on November 30 to deal with Yalda Moayeri’s charges. On December 20, she was temporarily released on bail until the end of the proceedings. In a video she published, Yalda Moayeri said that on the charge of “assembly and collusion to commit crimes against national security” and “propaganda activity against the state,” she had been sentenced to six years in prison. She has also been banned from leaving the country, using cell phones and smart devices, and living in Tehran and neighboring cities for two years each, in addition to providing free public services as a janitor in a women’s park for two months and preparing a 100-page research paper as additional punishments.” Photojournalist Yalda Moayeri was imprisoned for 32 days in the IRGC Ward 2A of Evin and 60 days in Qarchak prison for photographing public protests. She said in a video about the punishment for sweeping the women’s park. “I have no problem with this honorable job and profession, but I will gladly do this if I am not allowed to photograph the realities of my land.” Yalda Moayeri took the famous photo of a female protester amidst tear gas smoke in December 2017 and won the Year’s award. http://surl.li/eigqp******
Pegah Sadat Fakhraii, 33, was violently arrested on October 14, 2022, near her home in Tehran by plainclothes agents and taken to Shapour Agahi (Detective) Police Headquarters. egah was subjected to various physical and mental pressures under interrogation. Next, she was transferred to the Evin Prosecutor’s Office and the notorious Qarchak Prison. Pegah Sadat Fakhraii was sent several times for interrogation from Qarchak Prison to the State Security Force center and spent 15 days in Evin Prison. Retired paramedic Soheila Ojaghi has been sentenced to 6 years in prison in the primary court and is currently incarcerated in Qarchak prison in Iran. Due to her age, she is accused of being the leader of the Iran protests. Soheila Ojaghi was born in 1967 in Gonbad Kavos and moved to Tehran with her family many years ago. She was arrested on November 15, 2022, in Tehran’s Parand Square. She was held in temporary detention for only one day, then transferred to Qarchak prison along with more than 400 other detainees. Sepideh Ghalandari was arrested in Tehran in November and killed under torture. Her body was handed to her family on January 1, 2023, provided that her family keeps silent about this atrocity. Sepideh Ghalandari was buried in Mahabad on Monday, January 2, and her funeral services will be held on Tuesday in Mowlavi Mosque in Mahabad.Armita Abbasi another Iran revolution detainee has gone on a dry hunger strike in Kachouii Prison of Karaj since Monday, January 2. Armita’s mother wrote: “Armita has started her hunger strike in Kachouii Prison in protest of lack of examination of her case and prolongation of her detention.” It is said that she was arrested because of her posts on social media. According to reports the Iranian regime has arrested Navab Ebrahimi a prominent chef and Instagram influencer having 2.7Million followers, known for his videos promoting easy Persian cooking. Navab was arrested on Wed. Jan 4 and taken to Evin prison. Although no reasons is given for his arrest, his followers believe Navab was arrested because of his post teaching how to cook Persian Cutlets(Ground beef and potato patty) which coincided with the third anniversary of Qassem Soleimani's death. The Iranian people are happy to see Soleimani AKA Child killer is dead.
