On October 14, security forces arrested Saada Khedira, who is from Piranshahr in Iran. The security forces transferred this pregnant woman to the Central Detention Center of the Intelligence Agency in Urmia. She's being denied access to medical services and family visits. In another news Mitra Taghipour and her 4-year-old son were arrested at the border of Mehran city in Ilam province a month ago. Thus far, no information is available about the fate of this mother and child. A family relative said, “Ilam intelligence informed the Taghipour family of the arrest by phone. After the family returned to Ilam, they were told that Mitra Taghipour had been here for 8 days. They subsequently informed the Isfahan Revolutionary Guards. Kurdish political prisoner Mojgan Kavousi, in contact with her family, revealed the horrific conditions in a women’s detention center in Karaj in Iran. She also reported that she had been subjected to violence and humiliation by officials during multiple transfers to various prisons. Ms. Kavousi also stated that she had been repeatedly forced to submit to a full body search by officials from Nowshahr Prison, the Shahreri Prison Inspectorate, the Tehran Ministry of Moral Security Police, the Karaj Intelligence, and the Kachuei Prison. The political prisoner repeatedly protested against these acts of humiliation. “These behaviors are a clear example of psychological torture and a violation of one’s fundamental human privacy,” she said. https://tinyurl.com/ymjwtt7x

Photographer Farahnaz Khalili, 25, committed suicide after a judge threw out her complaint of assault and abuse. Farahnaz Khalili was from Bushehr. Ms. Khalili’s cousin described the incident as tragic. Two months before her suicide, Farahnaz had been commissioned to photograph a garden wedding. At the end of the ceremony, she had a dispute with the client over payment. The client verbally and physically assaulted Farahnaz Khalili. Farahnaz  sued the client for assault. The only people aware of the incident and the lawsuit were Farahnaz’s cousin and his wife. Farahnaz had taken legal action, and her case, a complaint of rape, was pending.
