On Thursday a number of Iranian cities were witnessed uprising due to high prices of bread, chicken, and many other basic foods. They chanted: Death to Khamenei, Death to Raisi, Down with Dictator. In Jooneghan, Southwest of Iran, as an example angry protesters took over a local Basij base and set it on fire after telling the solders to get out.

Leila Chegini, a political prisoner in Nowshahr Prison, is in poor health. Ms. Chegini has severe problems with her legs and back. “Her legs are very swollen and bruised, and she can hardly walk,” said an informed source. “She has severe back pain but is denied a visit by a forensic doctor. Despite repeated requests to see a doctor, the authorities have taken no action.” According to sources close to the family, Leila is not given any medicine or has been given dangerous, addictive drugs. Simultaneous with the protests and popular uprisings in different cities against price hikes, political prisoner Maryam Akbari Monfared sent a message of solidarity from behind bars in Semnan prison with the protesters across Iran. She writes: '... From behind the bars in Semnan Prison, hand in hand with these oppressed women and all of you who have no more bread and water, I cry out loud: We, the hungry will get through all these sufferings. Teachers demonstrated in 38 cities in 20 Iranian provinces. These demonstrations were held despite the clerical regime’s heavy security measures. On Thursday, May 12, 2022, Iranian teachers and educators took to the streets to protest the non-fulfillment of their demands, including ranking and adjusting their pensions. Another demand in the teachers’ demonstrations was the release of imprisoned teachers. The demonstrations took place in front of the parliament in Tehran and in front of education departments in other cities. The Antwerp Court of Appeals in Belgium announced its final ruling, on Tuesday, May 10, on sentences issued for three accomplices of Assadollah Assadi, a terrorist diplomat of the Iranian regime, for plotting to bomb an Iranian Resistance rally in Villepinte, Paris, on June 30, 2018. Assadi had previously been sentenced to 20 years in prison. According to Tuesday's ruling, the Court of Appeals confirmed the sentence for the other three agents of the clerical regime’s Intelligence Ministry under Assadi’s command (Nasimeh Naami and her husband Amir Sadouni to 18 years and Mehrdad Arefani to 17 years in prison. Urmia prison authorities have failed to hospitalize pregnant political prisoner Soada Khadirzadeh to undergo an ultrasound scan and other necessary medical examinations. Soada ended her hunger strike on May 7, after Urmia Prison authorities promised to meet her demands after 11 days of hunger strike. They were supposed to transfer the pregnant political prisoner to a civic hospital in Urmia on May 9 to be hospitalized under the supervision of doctors. The authorities of the Central Prison of Zahedan-Iran hanged a Baluchi woman on the morning of May 7. She was executed along with three other men on drug-related charges. A man set his young sister Zahra Azizi Ghomsheh on fire, in one of the villages of Kermanshah, western Iran. The incident happened on May 6, in the village of Ghomsheh, in the Mahidasht district of Kermanshah. Esmael Azizi Ghomsheh set his sister alight as he suspected she had a relationship with another man. Zahra Azizi Ghomsheh died from her injuries. The brother, Esmael then shot and killed the man suspected of having an affair with his sister, the man’s father, and another member of their family.
