The campaign against the death penalty in Iran has entered a new phase. On Tuesday, February 18, prisoners across 36 prisons in the country, staged a hunger strike in the 56th consecutive week of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign. Another woman was hanged in Iran on Feb 18 in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz in Fars Province. Bagheri Nejad was 45 years old and was kept in prison with execution sentence since 5 years a go. Christian convert, Somayeh Rajavbi was arrested in Gatab a district of Bobol in Mazandran province northern Iran on Thursday Feb. 6 by the Iranian regime's security forces who have lunched a raid on a Christian gathering. Over 20 IRGC intelligence agents stormed a private gathering of aprox 80 christians. During the raid, they confiscated Bibles, musical instruments, and communication devices, while forcing attendees to provide personal information and unlock their mobile phones.
