According to the newly issued verdict, which has been officially communicated to Miss Sharifeh Mohammadi's legal representatives, she has been sentenced to death on charges of “Baghy-e” (armed insurgency) through alleged membership in an opposition group. This comes even though her initial death sentence—issued in July 2023—had been overturned by Branch 39 of the Iranian regime's Supreme Court in October, leading to the case’s referral to a parallel court for reconsideration. Security forces arrested Mohammadi at her home on December 5, 2023. She was later returned to Lakan Prison in Rasht after a brief transfer to Sanandaj Prison. A source close to her family has asserted that Sharifeh Mohammadi was only a member of a labor rights organization until 2013 and had no connection to the Komala Party, the group she is accused of affiliating with. https://tinyurl.com/mr3vufdc******
