A 37 year old Political prisoner Masoumeh Senobari and mother of a teenage daughter, had been identified as one of the leading voices behind anti-regime chants during the conclusion of an Ashura religious ceremony in the women’s ward of Fardis Prison in Iran. A group of female inmates chanted slogans such as “Death to Khamenei,” “Curse be upon Khomeini,” and “Salute to Hossein,” openly expressing their dissent toward the regime before the ceremony closed. In response to the protest, the head of the women’s ward, Zahra Kolivand, summoned Massoumeh to her office, where according to informed sources inside the prison, she was violently assaulted. Lali Bameri, a 40-year-old Baluch woman and one of the victims of a deadly assault by the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) on the village of Gonich in Khash County, of Iran's Sistan and Balouchestan province, died in the early hours of Friday, July 4, in the hospital due to the severity of her injuries. Lali Bameri with the full name: Lal-Bibi Bameri, a mother of several children, succumbed to her wounds after three days in the intensive care unit of Khomeini Hospital in Khash. She had been critically wounded by gunfire during the IRGC raid and was kept alive only with the help of dialysis machines, as both her kidneys had failed due to direct bullet impact. Medical staff had described her condition as “critical and beyond recovery” from the outset. Lali Bameri was shot on Tuesday, July 1, during an IRGC raid on their village.
