According to the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI-MEK), July 26, Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 77,000 in 347 cities across Iran. Last week Hassan Rouhani the Iranian regime's president confessed that till now 25 million people have contracted the Covid-19 and must give this possibility that 30-35 million people will be exposed to this virus. Where in other countries Coronavirus is slowing down, medical staff in Iran are worry about the 3rd peak of the virus in the coming fall. Masoud Mardani, Infectious Diseases Specialist and Member of the Scientific Committee of the Corona Headquarters said in the State TV: "... in an ICU for example we see that from 64 personals in different shifts, 57-58 of them have contracted Coronavirus."

Kurdish political activists continue to experience persecution amid the current climate of activist repression in Iran. In the past month, multiple Kurdish women political prisoners have been prosecuted and detained and have received inhumane sentences in the form of long prison terms. Iran, July 25, 2020—Reports indicate political prisoner Majid Assadi, previously held in Gohardasht Prison of Karaj, west of the Iranian capital of Tehran, has been transferred on July 22 to ward 209 of notorious Evin Prison where he is under interrogation and extreme pressure. These latest measures by the regime’s authorities are in response for Assadi’s signature of a statement by a group of political prisoners exposing a regime operative by the name of Iraj Mesdaghi, who previously sought to gather information and carry out the mullahs’ plots inside the opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). Following the emergence of the role of women in all aspects of the 2019–2020 Iranian uprisings, the Iranian regime has once again targeted resistant political prisoners, fabricating baseless cases against them to keep them behind bars. Meanwhile, the Covid-19 crisis has created an opportunity for the regime to physically eliminate their opponents. Using the pretext of Coronavirus casualties around the world, especially in Iran, the regime seeks to quietly eliminate its opponents and avoid international condemnation. As such are Fatemeh Mossanna’s, Maryam Akbari Monfared, Atena Daemi, Farangis Mazloumi, mother of a political prisoner Sohiel Arabi, Golrokh Ebrahimi Iraeeو Narges Mohammadi, Zeinab Jalalian, Sedigheh Moradi and Zahra Akbari-nejad Dorcheh.
