Iran’s nationwide uprising is marking its 129th day on Sunday Jan. 20, with people especially in the capital Tehran continuing their anti-regime campaign in the form of night protests. The ruling mullahs continue to seek a solution to this crisis as signs indicate that Europe is setting the regime’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) on its crosshairs with new punishing measures. Protests in Iran have, to this day expanded to at least 282 cities. Over 750 people have been killed and more than 30,000 are arrested by the regime’s forces, according to sources of the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).

The European Parliament passed a resolution to Black list IRGC, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp on Wed. Jan. 18. Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), welcomed the resolution adopted by the European Parliament which called on the European Union to place the IRGC, Basij and the Quds Force on the terrorist list, to ban any economic activity with these entities and sanction the regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, its President Ebrahim Raisi and foundations related to the IRGC, including the Mustazafin, Shahid, and Janbazan foundations. She said: The Long Overdue Disbanding and Designating the IRGC Is the Iranian People’s Urgent Demand, Indispensable to Regional Peace and a Prerequisite in the Fight Against Terrorism.

Women’s rights activist Mojgan Keshavarz faces the trumped-up charge of “corruption on earth,” which could be punished by the death penalty. Mojgan Keshavarz is an opponent of the compulsory Hijab. She had previously received a sentence of 23.5 years in 2019 for openly opposing the mandatory Hijab but was temporarily released due to illness which made prison conditions unbearable. Her lawyer, Mohammad Moghimi, announced on January 17 that “the life of Mojgan Keshavarz is in danger.” A new case has been filed against her on the charge of “corruption on earth,” Mr. Moghimi said. http://surl.li/enerp

Zahra Nabizadeh from Mahabad was abducted on the evening of December 25, 2022, while six months pregnant by the Iranian regime’s security forces without an arrest warrant and was taken to an undisclosed location. Due to kicks to her abdomen by her interrogators, she miscarriage and is currently experiencing severe bleeding. She's sentenced to death by the Iranian regime's judiciary. http://surl.li/emoic
