Iran’s nationwide uprising marked its 136th day on Sunday as people from all walks of life in cities took to the streets in various protests. The Protests has spread in 282 cities across Iran with 750 people dead and 30,000 detainees. The names and identities of 637 people killed by the regime have been announced by the Iranian opposition PMOI/MEK.

Political prisoner Zohreh Sarv was taken from Evin prison on January 24, 2023, to Qarchak Prison instead of Taleghani Hospital. According to social media reports, Zohreh Sarv was infected with the Coronavirus in Evin prison. The prison clinic mistakenly diagnosed her illness as a cold, and she was deprived of treatment for a long time. After a lengthy denial of treatment, Zohreh Sarv was transferred to Tehran’s Shohada Hospital in Tajrish. After conducting tests, it was determined that the infection caused by the Coronavirus remained in her body due to lack of timely treatment. Finally, she was treated by prescribing some antibiotic tablets, which did not lead to her complete recovery. Zohreh Sarv’s family said: Due to the persistence of the disease, she was denied the third dose of the Coronavirus vaccine. The Revision Court of Fars Province sentenced Maryam Derisi to 22 months and 17 days in jail and 74 lashes. Maryam Derisi, from Kazerun, is a master’s student of English language and literature at Saveh University. Security forces arrested Maryam Derisi on October 15, 2022, in Shiraz. She stayed eight days in solitary confinement in the detention center of the Department of Intelligence of Shiraz. She was subsequently transferred to Adelabad Prison or the Central Prison of Shiraz. She was released on bail on November 2, 2022. On January 26, 2023, the Revision Court of Fars Province sentenced her to 15 months and one day for “insulting the leader,” and to 7 months and 16 days for “propaganda against the state,” which amounts to a total of 22 months and 17 days of imprisonment. The sentence considers the initial days of detention and would be commuted to 15 months in jail, according to Article 134 of the Punishment Code. The Babolsar Security Police Department summoned a lawyer, Saeedeh Mir-Qorbani, 32, from Babolsar (Mazadaran Province). The Security Police told her to apologize for her activities on social networks. When she refused to apologize, she was arrested. Security forces arrested Saeedeh Mir-Qorbani on December 3, 2022. Thus far, there is no information about her whereabouts or the charges against her. Branch 1 of the Saqqez Revolutionary Court, based in Baneh, sentenced Parvin Abdollah Panah to eight months in prison. Women and children’s rights activist Kajal Vatanpour, who had been arrested and sentenced to prison during the nationwide protests in Ilam, was summoned to the Department of Justice to serve her prison sentence. She is from Gilangharb, Kermanshah province and holds a master’s degree in international law. Plainclothes agents violently arrested kajal during the nationwide protests at the Children’s Park library entrance in Ilam on September 22, 2022, when she was on her way home. Kajal Vatanpour was subjected to physical and mental torture by agents of IRGC Intelligence in Ilam to make forced confessions.The Judiciary of the Iranian regime sentenced Golaleh Moradi, 48, to four years of imprisonment. Golaleh is from Piranshahr and She was arrested by security forces two years ago. This fall, Branch 3 of Criminal Court 1, located in Mahabad, sentenced Golaleh Moradi to 10 years and one day in prison on the charge of “assisting in the murder of Osman Haji Hosseini,” a member of the IRGC in Piranshahr.
The Qaemshahr Revolutionary Court sentenced Farnaz Nazeri to 10 years of imprisonment and a 2-year ban on leaving the country. Farnaz Nazeri, painter and sculptor and head of her household has two daughters (aged 14 and 20). During the nationwide uprising, she was arrested by security forces in Qaemshahr on November 6, 2022. The detention of Tahereh Bejrevani has been extended for another month because she resisted interrogations and refused to make forced confessions. Tahereh Bejervani is the widow of Ali Fotouhi, who was directly shot and killed by security forces during the November 2019 uprising. Mrs Bejrevani was among the families of the victims killed during the November 2019 uprising who seek justice for their loved ones. She was arrested on December 21, 2022, at her workplace in Shahrak-e Qods, a suburb of Tehran.Niloufar Mohandes, 17, was arrested on January because she was among the families of detained protesters outside Gohardasht prison in Karaj to prevent the execution of detained protesters Mohammad Ghobadlou and Mohammad Broghani.
Mahboubeh Mousavi, 26, from Ahvaz, was shot in her back by police forces on December 11, 2022, during the nationwide protests. Mahboubeh Mousavi entered an apartment after being shot and has been missing ever since.
Mahsa Salehi, 17, was arrested in Freedom Square on January 8, for helping arrested protesters escape from a police van during the nationwide protests. She was taken to Evin Prison, where security agents broke her nose and left hand and tried to get a forced confession, but has failed.
