Former political prisoners Zahra Safaei and her daughter, Parastoo Moini, were arrested again on Wednesday, September 13, by Intelligence Ministry agents in Tehran-Iran. Ms. Safaei’s son, Mohammad Massoud Moini, was also arrested with them. They were transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison. No information is available on the reason for the arrest of the former political prisoners supporting the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran. The clerical regime has embarked on a wave of arrests and crackdown on political prisoners and activists as the anniversary of last year’s uprising is approaching. https://tinyurl.com/27f6m9h4

1,000 prominent women worldwide support the resistance of Iranian women for freedom and democracy. The British lawmakers and distinguished personalities participated in a conference September 12, at the House of Commons in London, declaring support for the resistance of Iranian women for freedom and democracy. The conference entitled, “Iran: One Year into Iran’s Popular Uprising, Onward to the Democratic Republic,” featured prominent women from the UK Houses of Parliament. The NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi sent a message to the conference and MP, Anna Firth, announced and read out the statement signed by 1,000 prominent women in support of the resistance of Iranian women for freedom and democracy. https://tinyurl.com/y4knsjff

Former political prisoners, Forough Taghipour and Marzieh Farsi were arrested in Tehran on Monday, August 21, amidst the wave of arrests the regime is making on the eve of the anniversary of the Iran Uprising on September 16, 2022. Nineteen days later Forough Taghipour and Marzieh Farsi, continue to remain in detention in Ward 209 of Evin Prison without standing trial. During this period, they only had two short calls with their families.
