Sharifeh Mohammadi, a labor activist remains incarcerated in the prison of Sanandaj -Iran without standing trail. In a call to her relatives on Saturday, December 30, Ms. Mohammadi told them that she was being transferred to Sanandaj, and that her temporary release on bail is not yet possible. An Iranian lawyer, Niloufar Sadat Hashemian, was among dozens of Iranian citizens apprehended for commenting on the explosions in Kerman-Wednesday Jan. 3rd- near the burial site of Qasem Soleimani, which left hundreds of civilians dead and wounded. She wrote in her personal Instagram account, “When he was alive, he expended the country’s resources on warmongering in the region. Several people lost their lives during his funeral. To avenge him, a passenger airliner was targeted. His statue also brought harm to the country. Now, a significant number of people have lost their lives on the anniversary. The Iranian regime continues to arrest and imprison activists in Iran. In this regard, a 16-year-old Nirvana Torbatinejad, Fereshteh Mahdavi, Narges Mansouri, Mahnaz Tarah and Mahbobe Bigdeli have recently been sentenced to imprisonment and heavy fines in the regime's courts. Nirvana, who was abducted at her workplace on 27 of September, was sentenced to ten months in prison and a fine of two million Tomans, Fereshteh Mahdavi, to 2 months in prison, 50 lashes and 10 million Tomans in fines, Mahnaz Tarah, to 4 years and 4 months of imprisonment, and Mahbobe Bigdeli, mother of two children, was sentenced to 5 months of imprisonment. http://tinyurl.com/2sbnkk32

Farzaneh Barzekar, the mother of 21-year-old Irfan Rezaei who was killed by security forces in Amol during the 2022 uprising, was sentenced to 2 years in prison and a fine of 5 million tomans and a one-year ban from working on social net works due to removing her mandatory hijab. 

Zeinab Khonyabpour, the owner of a clothing store, has been sentenced to 2 years in prison at the Behbahan Criminal Court and three months and one day at the Revolution Court in Mashahad in Iran for publishing pictures of herself without a hijab. Ms. Khonyabpour had joined the national strike by closing her shop on December 5, 2022 and as a result her shop was sealed. http://tinyurl.com/yymb9724
